The SparkWell Program Manager is the primary point of contact for the majority of SparkWell's sponsored projects. Day-to-day, the Program Manager supports Project Leads with compliance questions, budgets, fund flows, and program operations; partners with the Operations Manager on contracts, HR, and international payments; and ensures Projects have what they need to operate effectively under AE's fiscal sponsorship.

This role is for someone who is energized by client relationships, comfortable navigating nonprofit compliance, and wants to be the operator that mission-driven Project Leads trust. The Program Manager is responsible for approximately two-thirds of the active project portfolio. After onboarding, this will be a portfolio of about 10-12 projects, growing to 20-25 as the SparkWell Program Manager grows into the role. The Managing Director carries the remainder and retains overall accountability for the program.

Project founders come to SparkWell because they want a partner, not a paperwork bottleneck. You will exercise independent judgment daily, with the Managing Director and Operations Manager as close collaborators rather than approval checkpoints. The work is varied, substantive, and central to the success of some of the most consequential projects in our portfolio.
